Bozley- A Boston Brigade Success Story

Descripción de la animación:

My Guy
He’s been called many things by many people. “Extremely smart, very spoiled, a bull in a China shop, a water baby, accident prone, bossy, the one-eyed wonder, a lover & kisser, Bozley, and The Boz.” Yes. You’re all correct. But to me, he’s just “My little Guy.”
Smart, are you kidding me? More like super genius. I’ll ask him if he would like a cookie. He runs to the pantry. I’ll ask him if he would like to take a bubble bath. He gathers up all of his rubber duckies and dumps them into the bathtub and then he jumps in. Would you like to take a walk Bozley? The lead and collar are retrieved. How about some tennis Boz? He brings me a tennis ball; not a CUZ, not a rubber ducky, not a stuffed toy or a pull rope. A tennis ball.
Spoiled, please … he’s basically an only child. My two-legged kids ditched me. I don’t know something about college and careers? Plus, who on this earth could say “no” to that big brown eye? Who?
Okay, so maybe you have me on this one. A delicate, graceful butterfly he is not. But a bull in a China shop? That’s extreme. My Guy is a bit rough-around-the-edge when it comes to his social skills. But the sign did advertise “pet friendly” dinning. Plus I challenge the fact that it really was China. It looked like something you could pick up (and replace easily) at the local Big-K. Their loss. I carry an American Express card and I’m not afraid to use it!
My Guy came to me by-way-of Boston Brigade Rescue. So we don’t have an exact date of when he was born. But one thing is for sure, he was born in a Zodiac Water Sign. He’s easy to please; a hose, sprinklers, pool, bathtub, lake, or ocean. It’s all good. Just add toy for hours of joy and fun!
At the Animal Immediate Care Center they know “The Boz.” They keep my credit card on file. He lives in the moment. He is fearless. He is very active and athletic. So, shit happens. One beautiful day, on a gorgeous hike, My Guy decides he wants a “lip piercing.” So he makes friends with a hook-needle barrel cactus. I had to stay strong. It’s my rule. NO tattoos or body piercing until after your 18th birthday. Off to the clinic we go. He has split nails chasing balls, broken bones rock climbing, and had his neck and chest sliced refusing to give back an American Staffordshire’s (AKA Pit Bull) ball. Thank goodness for surgical staples and glue.
It’s just silly little bossy stuff. My Guy likes to be in the front of the line on hikes, he pulls on his walking lead, calls out “cock-pit” every time we go bye-bye in the car, and whatever color CUZ Petunia (his little pug girlfriend) is playing with, all of the sudden he wants that same color too! B.F.D. Get over it people.
My Guy is like a Super Hero! I purchased him a costume (complete with cape) but he refused to wear it. He felt like he was bragging or showing off. I get it. He can jump 3x’s his body length, outrun most dogs at the park, swim against the ocean current, and roll a ball down a flight of stairs from the top and beat it to the bottom. Need I say more? He is the “One-eyed-wonder.” A comic book should be created after him.
Dogs bond with their master, their family. Their alpha, their pac. Their loyalty and love are real. They feel for us just as we feel for them. I have gone through many a pair of panty hose being greeted by My Guy when I return home (FYI ~ clear finger nail polish really doesn’t stop the snag or run) and every day after Bozley’s stinky, warm, yawn, morning stretch, and huge toot-toot from his bottom, I am smothered with kisses. He loves me and I love him. We are family. Our day begins on a happy, glorious note!
My Guys Aunt Patti lovingly cared for him until I picked him up from her in Riverside. My boyfriend Paul, his daughter Olivia, and her friend Amanda went with me. On our drive home to Palm Desert we named him. A billboard was advertising that Bossley Skaggs was performing at a local casino. I knew immediately it was the perfect name for My Guy; BOZLEY.
As My Guy became more confident and comfortable and cocky, we began to call him THE BOZ!
He has been called many things by many people. But to me, he’s just My little Guy and I love him just the way he is. After all, he’s perfection.
